Dracula (2025) – Gothic Horror/Romance

Dracula (2025), also known as Dracula: A Love Tale, is a gothic horror drama directed by Luc Besson. The film reimagines Bram Stoker’s legendary vampire story as a tragic and romantic tale of eternal love, grief, and destiny.

The story follows Count Dracula (Caleb Landry Jones), not only as a fearsome immortal but also as a man haunted by the loss of his beloved. When he encounters women who remind him of his lost love, his obsession with reclaiming what death stole from him begins to blur the line between passion and monstrosity.

Blending gothic atmosphere with grand romance, the film emphasizes the emotional depth of Dracula’s character, making him both terrifying and deeply human. The cast includes Christoph Waltz as a priest determined to stop him, Zoë Bleu as Elisabeta/Mina, and Matilda De Angelis as Maria. With a haunting score by Danny Elfman, the film aims to revive the classic legend for a modern audience.

Released in France in July 2025, the movie offers a visually rich, emotionally charged interpretation of one of literature’s most enduring figures—showing Dracula not just as a monster, but as a symbol of undying love and eternal tragedy.
