Still, there’s another man this season who leaves both of them in the dust: Adam Karma (Logan Marshall-Green), the thoughtful and captivating new love interest of Seema Patel (Sarina Choudhury).

In Episode 10, “Better Than Sex,” he invites Seema to his rent-controlled apartment and shares a touching story about a plant that reminds him of his late mother. When Seema accidentally knocks it out the window while smoking, her guilt consumes her — she won’t answer Adam’s calls or even face him.
But Adam responds not with anger, but with compassion. He later shows up at Seema’s office, not only to reassure her but to reveal that he’d salvaged clippings of the fallen plant — and plans to grow it anew. It’s a small gesture that speaks volumes.
Adam isn’t just understanding — he’s deeply thoughtful. His ability to comfort Seema and turn an awkward situation into a hopeful one shows the kind of emotional maturity that’s rare. A standout moment came in Episode 7, when Seema, embarrassed by an eye patch from a beauty mishap, attends Carrie and Miranda’s impromptu party. Rather than be put off, Adam embraces the moment — serenading her with a karaoke rendition of “Bette Davis Eyes” to lift her spirits. It’s spontaneous, sweet, and speaks to his genuine affection for her.
Unfortunately, fans won’t get to see more of their story unfold. And Just Like That will wrap after Season 3, as confirmed by showrunner Michael Patrick King.
