Laura Carmichael has tied the knot with her Downton Abbey costar, Michael C. Fox.

The couple — who play characters Lady Edith and Andrew Parker — confirmed the happy news during an NBC special Downton Abbey Celebrates The Grand Finale, as reported by TODAY.com.

During the interview to promote the third and final movie of the iconic franchise, Fox spoke about how the period drama has shaped his life.

“I owe a lot to this show,” Fox, 36 — whose character ended at the end of series five — said. “So much of my life has been shaped around this show.”

As he spoke, Fox’s partner, Carmichael, 39, whom he met on set, smiled while their fellow costar Leslie Nicol, who plays Mrs. Patmore, the show’s rather grumpy cook, addressed a question to Fox. “What if someone said you’re actually going to find your wife and have a child? Life-changing stuff.”

Both Fox and Carmichael agreed with her “life-changing” sentiment, while Fox added, “It’s incredible.”

During a Sept. 2019 interview with U.K. chat show This Morning, Fox confirmed he met his then girlfriend, Carmichael, on the show and described “working together” as “interesting.”

“We keep things slightly separate,” he added, noting that it was an “absolute joy” to share a screen with Carmichael.

Fox and Carmichael aren’t the only Downton Abbey stars revealing big news while promoting this movie. During her appearance on the red carpet at the London premiere, Michelle Dockery confirmed she is pregnant.

The star, 43, who played Lady Mary in the show, wore a dusty blue off-the-shoulder gown, with her baby bump on full display. Dockery also posed with her husband, who is the brother of actress, writer, and director Phoebe Waller-Bridge.
